Apologies
22 February 2010

Apologies to all the U11 players, parents and supporters for the lack of notice about yesterday morning's postponement. I was not contacted at all by the opposition, but Annette was as the Club emergency contact at 9.50. This was just too late for us to contact you all to advise you that the game was off. Apparently the referee had deemed that the pitch was unplayable.

I was personally already enroute to Hatfield with the U16's when the news came through and it just didn't leave enough time to do anything. My thanks to Tim for being the bearer of the bad news and my apologies to you all for your wasted journies.

The matches scheduled for this Sunday have all been postponed due to the adverse weather conditions.

Training Off 18/12/09
18 December 2009

Training for the U10 and U11 teams is off tonight due to the weather conditions.

Matches Postponed 20/12/09
18 December 2009

Stevenage Borough Council have called off all matches on their pitches this weekend due to the snow, so that means all our games this Sunday are off.

Training will recommence on Thursday January 7th for the U16's and Friday January 8th for the U10's and U11's.

Postponed Matches
30 November 2009

As the foul weather this weekend proved, we are now at the stage of the season where games are likely to be postponed due to unplayable pitches.

I inspected the pitches at 8.30 yesterday morning. Once it was obvious that the U10 and U11 matches could not be played, the first priority was to notify the opposition so that they did not set off to the game. Secondly, the relevant League Fixture Secretary for each age group had to be notified. Finally I could then get round to contacting each of our own players. This amounted to 24 people yesterday, which is why it is a much simpler and quicker task to notify everybody by text message, whch I sent to the mobile phone number supplied by all of you on our Club Registration Form.

With the risk of postponements being high over the next few months this is how I will pass on notice to everyone, so I would urge you to keep your mobile phone switched on each Sunday morning. If you do not hear from me then it means that as far as I am aware the game is still going ahead.

We now have 42 players registered with the Club so it becomes very difficult for me when everyone starts getting in touch to ask if the game is still on. I will let everyone know as soon as I possibly can once I know a game is off, if you haven't heard from me it means the game is still on.

IMPORTANT - Fixture Changes
05 November 2009

Please note that there are a couple of changes to the fixtures originally published for November.

U10

The postponed match against Pin Green has been rescheduled for this Sunday, November 8th again at St Nicholas Park at 10.30.

U16

This Sunday's League Cup match against Stansted Juniors has been postponed as they have an Essex County Cup tie scheduled, so we have no game this Sunday. The Stansted match has been rearranged for November 22nd, replacing the away league fixture against Bishops Stortford scheduled for that day.
